Fun place to stay for a splurge, don't expect much on the service side
8.0The "treehouse" we stayed in was spectacular and worth the splurge. It was well-appointed. It had a cute little "bunkie" with a full or queen sized mattress attached to the main bedroom - it was set up to look like a tent- very cute, great for kids but since I was with friends I got to enjoy it:) Huge bathroom and deck (loved both). We had our own firepit which lit up with a touch of a button and they provided mini s'more kits with marshmallow sticks. They also provided coffee, tea and hot chocolate and a flashlight and mini electric lantern. Bar restaurant at the main lodge had decent food and a fabulous view. Outside hot tub at the lodge- also fab. Beds comfortable.
− The service was not spectacular- everything was set up well on arrival. We called to request service the next morning with a list of items we needed help with. Only 1-2 were completed while we were gone. So we called again in the evening when we got back and we were told they only provide service if requested- we mentioned we did call in the morning. And even then they did not complete all the items we requested. Wine glasses were replaced as if they were clean- and they were not. Coffee mugs were left dirty. All the dirty towels incl the blue ones from the pool were left on the ground. Ceiling fan was unbalanced and was very loud as a result so we could not use it. Garbage cans were not emptied. We did not get any replacement ice (an ice bag came in a yeti cooler on the deck). When you are paying $1000/n - the service should be excellent. On a similar note- the resort fee was ridiculous at $140/n. FYI: There is also intermittent noise from the train passing the property- luckily not so much at night.

7.0Lots of amenities offered for activities on the area.
− Room was never cleaned once, when we called to have toilet paper delivered they did not follow through. Had to get our own toilet paper and take out our own trash all week.
Paid parking wonderful views or the parking lot.
7.0Fantastic views and jive facilities. Friendly helpful staff. Very clean nice rooms. Outdoor hot tub very cool.
− Paid parking, wtf? EV charging rates rediclous.. Really room rates too expensive for what they were.. $800 a night for a view of the parking lot. $20 each for self serve breakfast,, which was good but only a small step up from contenental. Felt like the whole experience was nickel and diming you to death. Bed was way too hard..

10.0The view. The amenities. The location
− Nothing
Overall, Skamania Lodge offers an unbeatable location w friendly staff.
7.0The Skamania Lodge's location is unbeatable, just a short distance from Stevenson, Washington. The staff are friendly, helpful, and polite in their respective roles. Overall, a pleasant and relaxing lodge.
− A couple of areas I think they could improve: with so many dogs at the property, it would be great if they opened the deck on nice, sunny weekend mornings so guests with dogs have somewhere to enjoy breakfast. As it stands, if you have a dog, there's really nowhere to eat — you're limited to takeout, and the room doesn't have a table that fits more than one person. We ended up leaving the lodge for breakfast both days and went into Stevens and Carson instead. The couple of times we did eat at the restaurant, the food was great, but service was very slow — it took 30 minutes just to get water and iced tea. Overall, though, the food itself was excellent.
