9.0The Point Hotel in Mossel Bay has an absolutely spectacular location right on the rugged cliffs. We found ourselves constantly watching the waves and the incredible scenery—it truly feels like nature at its best. As a special bonus, we were even lucky enough to spot whales from the hotel, which made our stay unforgettable. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. One feature we especially appreciated was the air conditioning with a heating function. After spending a freezing night at our previous accommodation, walking into a warm and cozy room was an absolute luxury and easily one of the highlights of our stay. The breakfast was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options, and the entire hotel was spotless. While the building itself is not brand new, it has been exceptionally well maintained and has a welcoming, classic charm.

You can't get closer to the sea
8.0Booked for the view - which it certainly delivered. We felt like we were on the water when we walked into our room (on the 4th floor) and we had the sounds of the waves 24/7. Aside from the views, and the wonderful location, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff very helpful and obliging. Our only disappointment was that dinner options were limited despite the vast menu but perhaps that was because it is winter and there arent the normal volumes of visitors.
