Normalerweise schreibe ich nur selten Bewertungen – in diesem Fall mache ich aber gerne eine Ausnahme. Vorweg: Dieses Hotel ist ein Boutique-Familienhotel. Wer einen ruhigen Adults-only-Urlaub sucht oder sich an Kindern stört, sollte besser ein anderes Hotel wählen. (Auf Kreta gibt es übrigens wunderschöne Adults-only-Boutique-Hotels.) Wir waren mit fünf Erwachsenen und drei Kindern unterwegs und genau deshalb war dieses Hotel für uns die richtige Wahl. Wir reisen seit rund zehn Jahren jedes Jahr nach Kreta und haben in dieser Zeit viele familienfreundliche Hotels kennengelernt. Dieses war mit Abstand eines der besten. Man sollte jedoch wissen, dass es sich um ein eher kleines Boutique-Hotel handelt. Wer eine riesige Hotelanlage mit langen Spazierwegen sucht, wird hier wahrscheinlich nicht glücklich. Wir haben ganz bewusst ein Hotel mit kurzen Wegen, direkter Strandnähe und einem flachen Sandstrand gesucht – und genau das haben wir gefunden. Der Strand war für uns hervorragend: sauber, feiner Sand, sehr flacher Einstieg und die Liegen standen angenehm weit auseinander. Besonders positiv fanden wir auch, dass die Liegen nicht schon früh morgens mit Handtüchern reserviert wurden. Die Zimmer sind eher klein und das Badezimmer ist wirklich eng – zwei Personen haben dort kaum gleichzeitig Platz. Uns persönlich hat das aber nicht gestört, da wir ohnehin die meiste Zeit draussen verbracht haben. Das Buffet hat unsere Erwartungen leider nicht ganz erfüllt. Das Essen war gut, aber der Speisesaal wirkte eher funktional und bot weder eine schöne Aussicht noch eine besonders gemütliche Atmosphäre. Das fanden wir etwas schade. Dafür waren die À-la-carte-Restaurants umso besser. Besonders das Amyra hat uns begeistert. Auch das griechische Restaurant war sehr gut, und dort zu frühstücken war jedes Mal ein besonderes Erlebnis. Ein echtes Highlight war der Wein – aussergewöhnlich gut, obwohl wir kein All-inclusive gebucht hatten.

− Das kleine Zimmer und leerer Kühlschrank. Buffet hatte keine Aussicht und das essen war etwas Eintönig.

Lækkert resort

Fantastisk lækkert resort hotel med meget høj kvalitet og en perfekt privat strand. Mad, vin og faciliterer var meget gode. Flotte værelser og kunst. Haven er fantastisk.

− Stedet ligger et stykke fra by, og prisniveauet på hotellet er i den høje ende. Vi savnede en bedre politik omkring reservering af liggestole samt uledsagede børn i træningsområdet. Desværre var der meget beskidt og ulækkert i træningslokalet.

Dieses Hotel ist einfach traumhaft, jeden Cent wert!

Overall, the hotel was fantastic, and we truly loved our experience there. Extra credit must go to the gardeners and the amazing landscape architect — the beautiful natural surroundings were genuinely what made this stay stand out for us. Also, we loved the idea of the nuts and peanuts as an in-room welcome treat. Such a nice touch! One final and very positive note: our child absolutely loved his stay at the hotel, especially the pool and the kids' areas. All the "teachers" at the kids' area were incredibly friendly, warm and welcoming, and really contributed to his wonderful experience.

− I would also like to share two comments that I believe could be useful: Firstly, the shampoo, conditioner and body wash — although Cretan, I assume, and aligned with the hotel's sustainability philosophy — unfortunately did not really work for us. The scent of all three products felt quite unusual and not particularly pleasant (with the exception of the hand bar soap), and we didn't really feel that the products cleaned effectively. Also, at this price point, I would perhaps expect a few more basic amenities to be available, such as toothpaste. Secondly, at checkout, we were told that we could use a dedicated room to shower and change before leaving the hotel, as long as we informed the front desk approximately one hour in advance so they could check availability. We were genuinely and happily surprised by this thoughtful option. However, when we later went to inform the front desk, another member of staff — admittedly not particularly enthusiastic about our request — corrected us and explained that we could not ask for the room in advance and would instead need to return and check availability on the spot at the exact time we wanted to use it. What started as a very positive surprise unfortunately ended up making us feel slightly uncomfortable, almost as though we were disturbing the staff by asking for something we had neither known about nor initially requested. The expectation had simply been created by the initial offer and instructions from the front desk, so the inconsistent communication made the experience more disappointing than it needed to be.
