Hood River historic gem.
8.0Beautifully restored historical building, the rooms are very nice. Well decorated and furnished. The location also is amazing, coming to Hood River this is the place to stay.
Enjoyable Stay
10.0We enjoyed our one night at the hotel. Setting is beautiful, rooms comfortable, food was good. The single employee operated elevator is a pain, but it's a historical hotel so it is what it is.

8.0Great location, lovely views from terrace and grounds. Interesting history and helpful staff. Note that the elevator needs to be operated by a staff person, which can cause delays.
Relaxing at the Columbia Gorge Hotel
10.0The Columbia Gorge Hotel is a wonderful old classic hotel. It is beautifully situated on the Columbia River. Despite our room not being ready until 5:45pm, we enjoyed walking around the grounds, going to the onsite spa, and eating there. Our corner room had a fireplace and was spacious with a great view and very nice bathroom. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable.
Lovely location and comfortable accommodations.
8.0We enjoyed the ambiance of your hotel, the magnificent location and the dining experience was nice. Unfortunately, we did have an unpleasant experience with Jasmine at the reception desk. A guest in the room above ours was up pacing around their room throughout our first night there. The following day after hours of interrupted sleep, My husband asked Jasmine, or a manager to alert this guest. She was rude and declined to let a manager be called in. The second afternoon there noise continued and my husband went and personally spoke to the guest. Fortunately, the guest was polite and receptive and that was the end of the noise. However, a guest should never have to make such an uncomfortable contact with another guest unknown to him or her. Hotel staff or management should have intervened. Our experience with other staff was pleasant and as I mentioned, we enjoyed our dining at the Cliff House. Respectfully, Barbara Engleson
