Good hotel but not to the level expected for a Gran Meliá.
8.0The location and the hotel facilities are truly beautiful. The courtyards and the swimming pool create a wonderful atmosphere and are a pleasure to enjoy. The restaurant is outstanding and highly recommended, with excellent food and service. The swimming pool is fantastic, with very comfortable sunbeds, and the staff there were exceptionally kind, attentive, and always willing to help.
− The rooms were not what we expected for a hotel of this category and price. They are in need of some updating, and the air conditioning in our room did not work properly. The room was very hot when we arrived because the air conditioning had not been left running between guests. A technician was called simply to check that the system was working, and after it was switched on, the room did cool down somewhat. However, as I mentioned the following day, “it’s better, but not perfect.” Despite this, no further action was taken to improve the situation or properly resolve the issue. As a result, we had to keep the curtains closed throughout the day to keep the room cool, which completely defeated the purpose of paying extra for a Premium Front Ocean View room. The room itself felt quite small, and the bathroom would benefit from having a shelf under the sink to provide more space for toiletries and personal items. Unfortunately, our arrival experience was very disappointing, and it took us quite some time to start enjoying our stay. We did not feel that the hotel made a genuine effort to compensate for the poor first impression or to make our arrival more pleasant. I believe a Grand Hotel should do everything possible to make things right when a guest’s first experience falls short of expectations. First impressions are extremely important, especially at this level, and I would have expected the hotel to offer us a better room or take some meaningful action to restore our confidence and ensure a positive start to our stay. Given the hotel’s category and price, we had expected a much higher standard, both in terms of the facilities and, above all, the way the situation was handled.

8.0− Мы не первый раз останавливаемся в этом отеле и всегда были очень довольны, поэтому в этот раз без сомнений забронировали четыре номера на две ночи для нашей компании. К сожалению, именно питание стало главным разочарованием. Все восемь гостей были единодушны во мнении, что завтраки и ужины заметно ухудшились по сравнению с предыдущими визитами. Для пятизвездочного отеля такого уровня и стоимости выбор блюд оказался очень скудным, а качество некоторых продуктов и фруктов не соответствовало ожиданиям. Во всем остальном отель по-прежнему прекрасен, но именно питание существенно испортило впечатление от отдыха. Очень надеемся, что руководство обратит внимание на этот момент и вернет тот высокий уровень, за который мы всегда ценили этот отель. Пока, к сожалению, соотношение цены и качества питания не соответствует уровню пятизвездочного отеля.

− Servizio mini bar e acqua pessimo. Acqua gratuita (solo una bottiglia al giorno per tre persone di pessima qualità (sapeva di cloro) ma nemmeno sostituita quando finita durante il servizio di turndown. Più volte sono state lasciate le bottiglie vuote senza essere sostituite. Utilizzavamo l’acqua del mini bar perché altrimenti non avevamo acqua e comunque il servizio mini bar passava un giorno si ed uno no. Ho dovuto chiamare per farmi portare acqua alle 22, sono venuti dopo 30 minuti nonostante avessi un bimbo di un anno. Parcheggio a pagamento. Staff ristorante a colazione e cena al patio molto lento.
Estupendo para disfrutar de la Barrosa
9.0Las habitaciones espaciosas, la cama comodísima. La playa de la Barrosa es espectacular. Lo que más destaca es el trato cordial del personal del hotel y el esmero que ponen en los detalles. Los restaurantes sirven comida a la carte deliciosa, de productos locales y con excelentes vinos - en una semana comimos fuera solo una vez.
− Un poco de lío con las toallas que solo están a disposición en la piscina y a partir de las 10:00 de la mañana, forzando a las personas que quieran disfrutar de la playa por la mañana temprano, guardarlas desde la noche anterior 🤪 El café del desayuno deja bastante que desear (para un amante del buen café).
