10.0I stay at the Ambassador every time I visit from the US, and have never been disappointed. Whatever the hotel lacks in outside glamour it compensates in efficiency and convenience. It is very clean and neat. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are quiet. Location is great - 3 min walk from a metro/subway station and 20 min walk from Nevsky prospect. This year, breakfast was somewhat a disappointment; but this may be due to the COVID related issues. Lunch was good though. My only grudge is the fact that there are no studio rooms with a spectacular view on the dome of the St. Isaak's Cathedral, so one has to make a choice between the room space and the view. Otherwise - a great place to stay in SPb.

8.0The place is very clean. The extra Covid measures are obvious and appreciated. The view from the dinning room is one of the best in the city. The food is ok. Not expensive and value to cost, great. But it could be better, and with that incredible view...a missed opportunity. Room service was top notch. Great value overall.
