Resort and staff are awesome
10.0My wife and I treated our entire family including the grandkids to a long weekend at the lodge and had a fantastic time. the room was very nice and well kept. the staff were nice and friendly. There was something to do for everyone, the restaurant was a little expensive but the pizza is reasonable and really good. We would recommend GF Lodge for anyone.
The best family weekend getaway
10.0I had never been to Great Wolf Lodge Niagara and what a surprise. It’s like 5 parks in 1! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!I thought it was just the waterpark but they have the arcade, mini golf, laser tag, bowling, magic quest, story time, dance parties, story time, and much more.We didn’t even leave the hotel for 4 days straight cause there was so much to do.Liam is currently obsessed with Netflix’s Floor is Lava so the frog pond / Lilly pads challenge were his DREAM.The food was great, the rooms had a lot of space (we got the Loft Suite that fit 6 of us MORE THAN comfortably), and the staff super friendly. If you’re thinking of going with your kids…HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! PS. You can access the water park from 9am even if your check in is at 4pm ;)
Fantastic - But Dated/worn out rooms.
8.0Great Parking. Great Location. Not quite walking distance from anything, but pretty central and easy to get to. Check in was efficient, but overwhelming. Understanding we booked at peak chaos over christmas holidays, It is admirable how they're able to get people in. The Kids and their Mom moved forward into the lobby, and I got our arm bands. There's plenty of reviews about this hotel, so I'll honestly just focus on the bad, of which there isn't much at all! The rooms are dated. I know they're supposed to look rustic, but the carpet changes color in the corners, the TV has massive bezels and isn't very bright, and the mattresses have depressions in them where people sleep. There's also very little edge support so if you get close to the edge - Whoop You're off the bed. My folks room was no better, with a loud droning noise all night. My mom borrowed my airpods and slept until the battery died. Speaking of their room, the fitted sheet had holes in the corner, and the mattress had a protector on it with holes the size of a shoe. It was pointless to have it on there. The beds were also rediculously bouncy. If your partner moves and you're a light sleeper - You WILL wake up. One of the elevators was out of commission. They should have had a guard in there because despite the sign saying the kids waving wands should take the stairs.. they all clogged up the single remaining elevator. Last negative thing is the one time we did the buffet, we had to wait 15-20 minutes in line for each time we wanted to get food. Buffets are supposed to be quick! Was hard to stuff our faces and get value when getting 2 plates took the better part of an hour. The food was just ok. the brisket was GREAT. Now, thats a lot of complaining. We had a TON of fun. All the staff were AMAZING. We had a fantastic time. The above is just nitpicking - Nothing detracted that seriously from our time, and the kids ABSOLUTELY, HANDS DOWN, FREAKING LOVED EVERY MOMENT. Adults... Were ready for a vacation after. lol. You go here for the kids!
Gone down hill
2.0My family has just recently returned from our third trip to the Niagara Falls Great Wolf Lodge. The first two times we were there, it was great and the service was amazing. This past time (first week of January 2026), the service was poor. The employes were all miserable and service was excruciatingly slow. Our car was stolen out of the parking lot within 2 hours of when we got there (but did not know until check-out time when we went to load our things). The manager said that it never happens, yet the police said they are there weekly. The hotel offered no assistance. We were left to find a ride as every rental place I contacted was closed on Sundays. It was another 5 hours before we were able to leave. I would have expected at the very least a complimentary lunch. If you choose to go, don't take a new car and be prepared to wait in long line ups for everything including food, activities and the waterpark itself.
Wonderful Experience with Grandchildren
10.0We went on. two night mini-vacation to Niagara Falls Great Wolf Lodge from Jan 1 - 3, 2026 and our stay was spectacular. Every staff member, from the person who checked us in to the person greeting you at the waterpark door, was friendly and helpful. While it was busy over the Holidays, we were able to do all of the activities we wanted with our family, including 3 grandchildren aged 2 - 4. We had two Majestic Bear Suites, side by side, for 6 adult and three children. This worked out perfect for us. We ate in the Water Park and at Northwood Pizza and the food was good. We especially like the chicken wings at Northwood. The food was reasonably priced. (Large pepperoni pizza $19.99) We chose not to eat at the buffet restaurant because of allergies with some of our group. Be mindful of peak meal times. Our little ones eat a bit early, so we were fine, but we did notice a line-up during peak times.
Wasted time waiting in lines.
2.0This place is a zoo. The line ups are tremendously long and they are not able to handle the capacity. There is no point in going to the water park during the day as the line ups take 1 hour to get on one ride. The restaurant is even worse. I waited over an hour with my kids for brunch. Every thing is extremely expensive if you chose to kill time outside of the water park. The rooms are ok- I stayed in kids Kamp (bunk beds) which are super small - careful if you have tall kids. The pull out sleeping couch is not good at all. My son couldn’t sleep on it and neither could I. I would not consider it as a bed.
