It was an adequate hotel noting that there is not a lot of accommodation options in Kununurra.
5.0The sports bar attached to the venue was an ok place to have a drink , watch some sport etc. Pizza's are very good, though sometimes you may have to wait. There does appear to be a security issue, there was an attempted break in of one of the guest rooms when we were there. The reception staff do make it clear that you must lock all you doors including using the bolt on the sliding door.
− The entire time of our stay the kitchen was only able to do pizza and mainly fried food. The reason given was a maintenance issue, this is particularly difficult if you are forced to eat there 3 nights in a row due to lack of transport options in the evening. Not enough staff to manage cooking of limited food menu. One person doing pizzas for example, meaning long waits for simple food. I should note however that when they arrived the Pizza was excellent.

The Grande was a comfortable, good value stay - we really appreciated the pool and the onsite bar, food and coffee van.
9.0We enjoyed our stay at the Grande. The room was clean and comfy, swimming pool refreshing and staff friendly and helpful - especially with luggage storage while we were off trekking. We didn’t try the restaurant but the bar meals were delicious (vegetarian options), atmosphere great, and a lovely view across to the lagoon in the daytime from the bar deck. The coffee/snacks van that was open early each morning was a bonus for brekky. This was good value accomodation.
