Great all-inclusive experience, but room area needs attention

We had a great stay at Grecotel Kos. What we appreciated most was the all-inclusive, hassle-free mindset, once you check in, you genuinely don't have to think about anything, which is exactly what we wanted from this holiday. The pools are large and well maintained, and the beach is kept very clean. The food selection was another highlight: plenty of choice and variety throughout our stay, so we never got bored of the options. The communal areas were clean. Overall, a comfortable, well-run resort that delivers on the all-inclusive promise. We'd happily return.

− Our room experience didn't match the same standard. We stayed in one of the buildings closer to the main road, furthest from the beach and pools. The route to our room, up the lift and along the outside walkway on the second floor was dusty/ sandy and fallen leafs on the floor, and didn't give a 5star impression. Baby cots were left standing here and there along the way, which should have been stowed away. The room itself was clean, but the bathroom felt a bit outdated, and our balcony was dusty with bird droppings in several spots. The wooden railing needs maintenance, it was a bit flexible and i didn't trust my son to lean on it. The path to the rooms could be made much more attractive and kept spotless, this is definitely a point of improvement. With the same attention given to the communal areas applied to the room blocks, this would be a true 5 star experience.

Kos adasına göre güzel bir oteldi. Yemekleri lezzetli, çalışanları alanlarında bilgili, güler yüzlü ve yardımseverlerdi. Temiz bir oteldi. Denizi taşlıktı ama güzeldi.

Das Frühstück hat alle unsere Wünsche erfüllt und die Lokalität umgeben von Wasser und unterteilt in verschiedene Areale war wunderbar. Das Essen im italienischen und asiatischen Restaurant war wunderbar und neben dem Hauptrestaurant (Buffet) eine willkommene, genussvolle Abwechslung. Der Stand ist aussergewöhnlich schön unterteilt in verschiedene Liegeplätze; am Steinstrand, im terrassierten Sandstrand oder den durch ein kleine Hecke getrennte Poolareal - sehr schön und genügend Platz für alle. Das Personal ist insgesamt sehr freundliche.

− Wir hatten immer einen schönen Platz am Strand gefunden, trotzdem finde ich es persönlich unanständig und egoistisch, wenn Gäste die Liegeplätze am frühen Morgen reservieren gehen und dann über Stunden die Liege nicht nutzen. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass dies von Seiten des Hotel beobachtet wird und die Strandtücher die offensichtlich zur Reservation hingelegt wurden entfernt werden oder die Gäste darauf hingewiesen werden.
