Location is nice, it's beautiful, nothing to complain about the rooms, breakfast was really good

− One disappointing aspect of the stay was the payment process. At check-in, the hotel placed two large pre-authorisations on my card for our two rooms. At check-out, the full amount was then charged separately, while the original pre-authorisations remained blocked for several days. This effectively meant that I had to have twice the cost of the rooms tied up for a significant part of my holiday. I understand that hotels may require a guarantee, but this felt unnecessarily inconvenient and was not clearly explained. For a hotel of this standard, I would expect a smoother and more customer-friendly payment process.

Het hotel was volledig in orde. Vriendelijk personeel, luxueuze kamer, goede douche, fijn zwembad, zalig ontbijt op een heel mooi terras in een gezellige tuin. Ook een heel goed restaurant. Goede uitleg van de conciërge over mogelijke uitstappen. Kortom, een heel fijn verblijf. Aan te raden. Valencia is een prachtige stad. Nog niet alles gezien, dus moeten we nog eens terug gaan. Dan boeken we weer in The Westin.

Overall, the only things I liked about the facility were the pool and the steam room; other than that, we didn’t like anything else.

− For this hotel, 50 Euros per night is the most anyone should pay — they absolutely do not deserve more than that. Important information: We are a German couple living in Germany. When we arrived, we wanted to make the payment, but they told us that payments over 1000 Euros are not accepted. However, by law this only applies to Spanish citizens, not to us — we are tourists, after all. And when we told the staff working there that we are German and that the limit for us is 10,000 Euros, they said, "You may have a German ID, but you could be living in Spain." I replied, "If I were actively living in Spain, why would I come to a hotel?" They make inconsistent, absurd, and prejudiced comments. We understand that staff are trying to do their job, but in this case, since the staff member was not doing their job but rather making personal comments, we are writing this review this way. Anyway, we were told it was a king room, but it had absolutely nothing to do with the room in the photos. You will understand this yourselves when you book the room — there is no resemblance whatsoever between the rooms. Another issue was the staff's attitude — it was not at all like a five-star hotel. We have always stayed at five-star or seven-star hotels, but we had our worst experience here. The restaurant staff, however, were quite good. If it weren't for Booking, we wouldn't have been able to sort out the reservation payment. Thanks to Booking, we still managed to complete our stay, but this is definitely not a hotel we would ever choose to stay at again. When checking out, we recorded videos of everything, including the rooms. The staff are not friendly, and the hotel is not at the level you would expect — it feels more like a three-star hotel rather than a five-star one. For example, there was someone filming our door. We asked why, and when we called reception, they said they might have been recording the sound of the dogs.
