A brilliant quirky hotel.
10.0The location was excellent for what we did and visited. We didn’t investigate public transport to and from the hotel as we did have our own transport. It’s about five miles to the small town of Peebles, about 10 miles to the Alpine coaster and a 45 minute drive to St Mary’s Loch. The hotel is very quirky, our room was very comfortable and spacious. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate both nights in the restaurant and couldn’t fault the food or the service thanks to Sarah and her team. The reception staff all gave a friendly hello and made sure we were happy with our accommodation.

8.0Beautiful building, the room we were staying in could do with a bit of an upgrade! Looks a bit tired, especially the bathroom.

Relaxing in a lovely location.
9.0Location is beautiful and very peaceful. Staff were lovely and welcoming. We had dinner in the restaurant which was nice and breakfast in the morning with no complaints. .
− Only very slight criticism is that rooms are getting a bit tired looking. That said it was excellent value for money, and the room was comfortable and very clean. I understand the hotel are in the process of gradually upgrading the rooms. Definitely we will go back.
