A terrifying experience

− I chose to stay at Ala Kai Bed and Breakfast based on the rave reviews about their "abundant breakfast," but my experience was a massive disappointment. First of all, the breakfast was terrible. It was far from abundant—just basic supermarket-bought bread, milk, and coffee. Secondly, the service was completely unprofessional. On our second night, we returned to the room late and wanted to rest a bit longer the next morning. Since we were the only guests staying there at the time, I messaged the host asking to delay our breakfast by just one hour. The host completely ignored my message (pretending not to see it), and as a result, we didn’t get any breakfast at all that morning. To make matters worse, after checking out, I noticed we were overcharged for the cleaning fee. The initial cleaning fee upon booking was already a steep $100 (which I felt was not worth it, considering there was absolutely no room cleaning service during our stay). Yet, they charged us an extra $50 without any explanation. It took a whole month and going through the booking platform's support system to finally get that $50 back. Between the misleading food, unresponsive host, and a terrifying billing "error," I would definitely not recommend this place.

10.0Tolle Lage. sehr schön persönliches Bed and Breakfast. Eric, der Inhaber gibt sehr wertvolle Tips für Unternehmungen auf Big Island. Man fühlt sich sehr wohl dort.

9.0La gentillesse des hôtes. La chambre est située en bas de leur maison avec une belle salle de bain. Le petit-déjeuner est parfait avec vue sur l'océan.
− On a trouvé que la clim était très bruyante et et comme la chambre est située en bas de leur maison côté jardin, c'est dommage car il manque la vue.
