10.0Sehr hübsches Haus, ruhig gelegen, großes bequemes Bett, kurzer Weg in die Stadt oder zum Hafen, auch tolle Restaurants in der Nähe, keine Parkplatzprobleme (es gibt eine Garage und Plätze auf der Straße - alles kostenlos). Das Frühstück war absolut fantastisch, frische Säfte, frische Früchte und Eierspeisen a la carte. Und vor allem das freundliche Personal ist zu erwähnen.

Hôtel de charme sur les hauteurs de Funchal
10.0Hôtel de charme avec un service 5 étoiles. Le personnel est très accueillant. Il y a un parking sur place. L’espace piscine est très agréable. Chambre très spacieuse et très propre et literie confortable. Le petit déjeuner est très bon et le restaurant également pour le dîner. Il y a une navette qui permet d’aller dans le centre ville ( centre ville à 15 minutes à pied par une route très raide).

Excellent for Rest and Relaxation
10.0This hotel was the perfect place for us to have some much needed R&R for 5 days. The Staff are so helpful and pleasant, the food is well presented and delicious in the restaurant. Breakfast has an excellent selection. It is about a 15 minute walk to the seafront and shops. It is downhill going but uphill on the return, which in the heat of the day can be hard work. There are plenty of taxis and tuk-tuks about to help get you from a to b if necessary. The Spa was easily accessible and had a nice selection of treatments. Beautiful rooms, very spacious and each has a balcony with table and chairs. A bottle of still and sparkling water is provided in the fridge, which is refilled FOC when empty. Large bathroom with all toiletries and towels Highly recommended
Perfection
10.0I travelled solo to this wonderful hotel and could not have felt more welcome. I had a huge room with a queen sized bed, sofa, and balcony. The staff (and the guests) were all so lovely and I talked to so many people and never felt like I was ‘solo’. Having read the previous reviews I knew the hotel would be nice but I had 2 concerns… (1) I’d been too busy to book trips in advance and (2) I was worried the restaurant would be all fish and I don’t much like fish! Neither was a problem… firstly Rosie is the resident client relationship manager who promptly booked me a variety of levada walks which were all fab, and gave me ideas and instructions for anything else I wanted to do. Way easier than me pre planning from home. Secondly, the menu was à la carte and had a mix of fish, meat and veggie options. The food so delicious that by the end of the week I found myself ordering fish and enjoying it! Beware that with 3 courses every night you will put on weight even with all the hills to walk! I never return to a hotel or holiday destination because there are so many places to see in the world, but this hotel has broken the rule. The day I returned, I booked to go back next year with my son, and I cannot wait.
