We had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt Hakone and highly recommend it for its breathtaking mountain views from our room! The hotel staff is great and went above and beyond to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Especially the front desk female associate/manager who really tried her best to ensure we stayed on schedule and assisted us given our taxi issues. The guest relations manager (Mr. Suzuki-san) left no stone unturned to ensure that we caught our shikansen on time. Mr. Takuya (Hotel GM) even reached out after our stay to ensure everything was good and that we reached Kyoto on time. We really appreciate his thoughtfulness. I also highly recommend the walking tour that Mr. Takuya himself provides on Tuesdays. It does require some uphill walking but very doable for folks who are active. The entire tour takes ~55mins and you get to experience exquisite gardens that are highly well maintained and have wonderful flowers! The breakfast was delightful like all the Hyatt properties that we have stayed at during this Japan trip. We will definitely be back!

Amazing hotel, nice and relaxing

We had an amazing stay at the Hakone Hyatt Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made a fantastic impression. They were clearly proud of both the hotel and the surrounding area. The check-in process was smooth and efficient—we were seated, given a map, and walked through everything we needed to know, including local attractions, transport options, and the hotel shuttle service. The onsen was also explained clearly, and we were then personally guided to the lift, which was a nice touch. That evening, we went down for dinner and our welcome drinks. The staff were warm and engaging, especially with our children—they took the time to chat with them and make them feel included. The meals were excellent and a real highlight of the stay. Breakfast the next morning was just as impressive. The staff were incredibly attentive and kind, even helping our children with their food and showing them around. It made the experience feel very welcoming and family-friendly. The onsen was clean, relaxing, and well maintained. Our room was spacious and comfortably accommodated our family of four. The only minor downside was the shower setup. At 6'2" (187 cm), the shower head was mounted too low and sprayed at shoulder height, and the hose could have been longer. A small adjustment here would make a big difference for taller guests. Overall, the stay exceeded our expectations and delivered exactly what we hoped for from a Hyatt hotel. It really stood out—especially when compared to our next stay at Mt Fuji Speedway Hotel, which could learn a lot from Hakone about delivering a great guest experience

Amazing resort

The Hyatt Regency Hakone is a beautiful resort that gives you a great location to visit Hakone . The shuttle service is extremely helpful (needs to be reserved in advance) for Odawara. But from Gora station you can also take the funicular to Kami Gora station and it's a 5 minute walk making it so easy to access. The service is impeccable and the staff are just lovely. Also if you are lucky you can catch a glance of Mount Fuji in the back on a clear day. We also enjoyed the onsen. Overall a wonderful stay!!!

A short but sweet visit to Hyatt Hakone!

The hotel, spa and area were really nice. We visited for 1 night on our way back to Tokyo but now wish we’d spent another night.

Really cool place in an awesome location. Great dinner experience. Wonderful breakfast. A wee some spa. Loved everything about it!
