2.0− Booked room because of double shower- Not enough water pressure for even 1 shower head- water just dribbles. Then the water just stops- nothing- no water at all. Sent message to the contact and they were less than concerned. If I wanted to camp - I would have booked a camping spot. This was lousy and a total waste of money
Great access to Volcanoes National Park
9.0Great location for visiting Volcanoes National Park, property has “jungle vibes” & the space and rooms we rented were big.
− The ceiling fan in the room is pretty low right over the bed and close to main walkway (sketch for taller people). Also parking spaces are tight

8.0Chalet Kilauea almost hit it out of the park. If you enjoy staying somewhere that’s not bland and basic, you’ll the funky, charming decor. We loved the forest setting, the large room size, table, microwave, fridge, and dish ware. The bed was comfortable. I say ALMOST 10 out of 10 because the water pressure from the shower was weak and even turned to hottest I got cold. Maybe remove the water filter? I can’t book here again unless the shower ha good water pressure! Also, it’d be nice if they offered breakfast items for purchase.
