Do not Stay at this Nightmare Motel. I couldn't make up a story like this if I tried.
2.0Do not stay at this place. Don't do it. The pictures on their website are not from the actual hotel. My Magnuson Hotel 'adventure' was like a bad horror movie. I am not kidding. I was trying to stay in some small towns and away from the big chain motels. I had called and was told plenty of room no need to reserve. I arrived and the parking lot was empty... hmmm kind of odd. When I arrived at 7pm and checked in I had to sign something saying 'no cancelation refunds within 24 hours of booking.' I asked, "I'm here now... how am I going to cancel?" The reply was, "I know it is weird, just company policy." Hmmmm. Given a room on the first floor, I put my stuff on the dresser in the room, turned on the little table lamp and worked for a bit. Wanted to get some ice, so I walked to the front desk and couldn't find the manager to ask. I ventured down the long hallway looking for an ice machine, no luck. When I turned around I noticed bleached out footprints in the carpet and SOMETHiNG splattered/stained on the other doors in the hallway... weird.... Got back to my room and I tried to open the windows for some air... oh...they were already unlatched and had no lock or latch, just slid open... and I am on the first floor. Decided to call the front desk... go to the room phone it is dead....and the phone cord was cut. Yes, definitely getting creeped out... So I turned on the overhead lights... Mold along ceiling and wall, plaster falling on the bed and nightside table. Yea... definitely creeped out. I'm glad my suitcase was on the dresser... I didn't touch the bed or look at the sheets... I went to find the manager and... he is nowhere to be found, not picking up my cell call. I am not one to pay for a room and back out but all the hairs on the back of my neck were standing up. Time to go, definitely time to go. Out in the empty parking lot I was putting my bag back in the trunk... look up... and there was someone shuffling towards me from the woods at the edge of the huge parking lot.. I AM NOT KIDDING OR MAKING THIS STUFF UP. (I told you it was like a horror movie) I wish I had taken more photos, but I was getting the heck out. I got the last room at a chain hotel in town. Manager of that place said, "Might be a little loud 'til 10pm. Bunch of motorcycle guys staying here." I have never been so glad to see a bunch of people in my whole life. How is this place even still open???

2.0This is the most run down hotel, I have ever seen. If you want to see it you will be amazed that they can even rent rooms like this.
Crackheads work the desk
2.0Do not stay here they want you to pay in cash. I tried to give them cash they didn’t have change they said will give it to you later that made no sense. It’s a business you should have cash if a customer brings in $100 bill they refuse to let me pay with my card to check in early they want to cash for that. I said I don’t have more cash I’ll just use my card. They refused to let me use my card. I’m pretty sure they were just trying to pocket my early check-in fee. That’s why they wanted cash they looked like they do drugs bunch of missing teeth. A lot of weird people just hanging around that look like they do drugs overall, I did not stay there , I’ll have to fight to get my money back from the bank

4.0At least it was cheap, but it smelled like mildew to me. It must be the humid air from the pool.

2.0Worst experience ever with a hotel. Upon check in, the hotel owner/manager was berating his staff about charges to another guest. This continued the whole time he checked me in. He then personally said "give her room 105". When my family and I entered the hall of the hotel it reeked of cigarette smoke, when we got to our room it reeked of chemical smell (probably something to get rid of the smoke smell) Went to front desk and said we'd only be staying 1 or 3 nights because it was so dirty/gross. He offered another room and not a refund. We explained another room wouldn't have made a difference (especially since he personally put us in that room). He then said we needed to take it up with Hotels.com. Spent 30 min on the phone with Hotels.com and they said he refused the refund because we wouldn't take the new room. It was disgusting. Hotels.com should be ashamed to offer this place on their website. Dirty everything, loose faucet, spider webs on lamps, something splattered on the tv, stained/dirty lamp shades, dirty towels, sink with dirty/missing caulking, wallpaper was stapled to the wall, curtains hanging by the rod, plaster on walls, missing towel rack, and the grossest was the toilet. Never received refund or follow up from Hotels.com or the Magnusun Hotel. Would not recommend to anyone. Pay $20 extra dollars and stay somewhere decent. Took a stroll around the property to get fresh air. Besides overgrown vegetation, it was a pretty decent area of town
