Spacious villas in a beautiful beachfront setting

The beachfront location is beautiful, with easy access to Ka’anapali Beach and a quieter atmosphere than the busiest parts of the area. The resort feels relaxed and family-friendly, although the pools and common areas can get crowded during the day. Our villa was spacious, clean and comfortable. Having a kitchen and washer and dryer was especially useful for a longer stay. The room was generally quiet at night, though this may depend on its location within the resort. Service was friendly and helpful, and the pools, beach access, restaurants, fitness center and other amenities gave us plenty to do. It is an expensive property, and parking and on-site dining add to the cost, but the extra space and in-room facilities provide reasonable value for families.

Lack of quality and care

As Chairman’s Level owners, we expected a much higher standard from The Westin Ka’anapali Ocean Resort Villas, but this stay was incredibly disappointing. When we arrived, our villa contained power tools, dirty dishes, and had clearly not been properly prepared for guests. What was even more frustrating was that it took three separate face-to-face visits with both the front desk and management before the room was finally cleaned. Communication throughout the process was poor, and we never felt that anyone took real ownership of the issue. The only compensation offered was a $50 resort credit, which did not reflect the inconvenience or the time we spent trying to resolve a problem that should never have existed. Beyond our room, both the villas and many of the common areas felt worn, dingy, and lacking the level of care we have come to expect from the Westin brand. The most disappointing aspect of our stay wasn’t simply the condition of the property—it was the apparent lack of urgency and concern from management. We have always associated Westin with quality, service, and attention to detail. Unfortunately, this experience fell well below those expectations. We hope management takes these concerns seriously because loyal owners and guests deserve much better.

1 star Parking lot view, not the ocean!

Be forewarned! An 'Ocean view' at this resort is a 1st floor view of a parking lot! We took our concern to the front desk (Katie) and the clerk contacted a 'rooms control'person who said they recognized the problem before we arrived but there was nothing they could do about it! This is most unfortunate as it's a decent room but falls far short of what we thought we reserved and paid for. C.Tischler 7/13/26 to 7/19/26...yes, we're stuck here for another 5 days...I have a concrete jungle at home... Didn't need to come this far to see pkng lot!

Cheap and terrible.

Flying 12 hours as a Marriott owner to be put in the worst building on the property, over looking a parking lot is insulting. My ocean view is a PARKING LOT view with a silver of ocean. I don’t even have a proper balcony. I will be reevaluating my relationship with Bonvoy going forward.

This is my review on The Westin Ka'anapali Ocean Resort Villas, we stayed here the week of June 20-27th. I am a Chairman Marriott owner, there was no problem getting an Ocean view, it was actually sort of side, building 2, 2-4-16 was the room. I read lots of complaints but did not see any of these issues. I am a KoOlina person, every Xmas and New years Pros: - Great service, room was clean, modern and property was also clean - Great Bartender, Chris who made great rum drinks, burger was good - Pool was clean, Jacuzzi clean, Cons: - Ocean view was partial Ocean but a great view eating breakfast on the balcony - No damn plastic spatula, what!!! I had to take to one from the lock off we also had. Overall: - Great resort, my 1st Westin and I was impressed. I’m still a KoOlina person but this was a nice resort. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Beautiful property and will not disapoint

We have stayed at and loved this hotel/resort for years. It has done a great job of updating the common areas and retro fitting the pools etc. to be much more family friendly but still have a great adults only area. The room was refreshed and modern. The only draw back to this property are the fees. Resort fee $50.00, parking another $50.00 so a $100.00 a day on top of your room rate. It is a large property in Hawaii so the cost to maintain it are high for sure, but really, a hundred bucks a day on top of the hight room fee!
