Birthday getaway
8.0Great place to go. Not impressed with restaraunt. But the rest of the resort was great
Snack bar at the waterpark
8.0I am very frustrated that no food and drink is allowed into the waterpark. We had some young kids who can’t eat chips, etc. so it made it very difficult because we constantly had to go back up to theroom to get snacks for them. We are more than happy to buy things there, but we had two hotdog dogs, chicken strips, pretzels, and nachos The only thing that was even close to good was the pretzel. The hot dogs looked disgusting and why they make those in the oven is beyond me. The bun was so hard you couldn’t even eat it. chicken strips were incredibly dry because again they make those in the oven. Why in the world does doesn’t a waterpark like that have a fryer oran air fryer if you ask me this policy needs to be changed especially when you can’t provide decent food. I had brought along some small dips andcheese and sausage and we couldn’t even bring them in to eat. The other thing the set up at this hotel is the strangest thing ever. They make it very difficult to get to the waterpark if you’re not on the second floor. Just some suggestions, especially about that snack bar.
Overall nice with a couple caveats
8.0Stayed here to move my daughter out to college. Hotel staff were nice, facilities were clean, restaurant seemed like it might the best option in town. We had a great dinner, waitress was lovely, food and drinks were good. We stayed on a Thursday the 23 of August. It was a beautiful summer day and we were disappointed to discover that the indoor and outdoor Waterpark /pools were all closed and only open on the weekends. We paid extra for the lake view room but the planning for this was poor. We were over top the roof of the restaurant, if you had a second floor balcony you'd be right at roof level with the big exhaust pipes blocking your view. We couldn't sit on our balcony because the smell of fried food was blowing right at us (3rd floor). Overall a nice hotel but I'm not sure it was worth the hefty price tag with no pool options at a Waterpark hotel and a lake/stinky roof view.
Loved the restaurant
10.0Two friends and I tried the restaurant for the first time for a late lunch today and were so glad we did. The huge windows all across the room give you a great view of the lake. My reuben and fries were the best I’ve ever had. Lots of choices on the menu. Our waitress was sweet and checked on us several times. Beware the brownie sundae was 3 large scoops of vanilla ice cream with whipped cream and just a little chocolate sauce. We will definitely be back.
Highly Recommend King's Pointe
10.0I stay at King's Pointe approximately twice per month. I have always had a great experience, the staff are always friendly, and I find the beds to be especially comfortable. The view of the lake is stunning as well. I highly recommend staying.
Oct 2024
10.0We stayed in a cottage over 3 days, 2 adults and 5 young kids. Setup was very comfortable for our group. Would be nice if there were 2 bathrooms, but having the one was still feasible. Pros: cost, proximity to resort, close parking (literally right outside your door), water park passes included. Cons: no curtains, must clean your own cottage during and at the end of stay, beds are a very firm. Would stay again!
