4.0Before writing this review I took a look at what other folks had written to see if I was way off...I'm not. The last four plus review is from 2023 and things have not improved in the interim. Canon City is not a hub for luxury hotels, but even with that low expectation The Hampton Inn is ready for either an off-brand renaming or a complete redo, down to the studs sort of renovation. I've stayed a couple of times strictly out of necessity and either every door looks like it's been kicked in at least once or I have ended up in the same room every time. Furniture is well past it's "use by date". One of the oddest TV setups I've seen too. Bathroom is classic dark and a bit dingy. Bed is definitely sagging. I don't really see Canon City being a destination by itself, but if you were to stay at the Hampton Inn more than a night...you'd probably be moving along sooner than you expected. Hilton standards auditors...you've got your next assignment tee'd up and ready...it's sitting right here (across the bridge from Chili's).
Disgusting hotel and experience.
2.0Disgusting condition. Pool and spa closed. Elevator not operational for months. Rooms disgusting. No cleaning done. Showers had human hair all over. Beds not laundered. No towels. Breakfast not served. Staff not present.
Don’t bother
2.0Don’t come. We had a reservation and when we arrived the hotel is like led up and not a Car on the lot! Called the 800# and they didn’t even know it was abandoned! Crazy!
Horrible will not stay there again!
3.0I talked to the day manager, and he was very nice and tried to explain to the best of his ability why there were so many things wrong with the property. Keep him he’s an asset.!!
− The night lady was OK. You know your hotel is in dire needs of something with the person checking you in offers that if you want to cancel your reservation and stay somewhere else that’s pretty bad. There was no Wi-Fi, no pool no hot tub, in the breakfast equipment apparently wasn’t working either. THEY SHOULD HAVE PAID ME TO STAY THERE.
