It's a big resort which means your room can be a small walk from the main building. The outdoors are beautiful though with various trees planted along the way. The reception and breakfast area is in a covered but open area (non air conditioned only fans), which is okay if the weather permits. The AC in the room seemed small but it was powerful. Breakfast was plentiful.

− Beware of ants! Don't leave food out on the bedside tables. We were greeted with thousands of small guests in the morning. This is normal because nature, duh! Not the hotel's fault. But the weirdest thing was that the toilet seat was literally beside the wash basin. You can sit on the seat and brush your teeth simultaneously.

Our family of four (2 adults and two children, aged 5 and 8) spent 10 unforgettable days at Cinnamon Lodge, and it exceeded every expectation we had. We chose this hotel because of its perfect location for visiting Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla Cave Temple, and nearby safari parks. It turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip. The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, but what truly makes this place exceptional is its people. Every single member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. We didn’t feel like guests—we felt like family. A heartfelt thank you to Neel for his outstanding service by the pool, Ayesha and Afzal for keeping our room spotless every day and delighting our children with amazing towel animals, and Wasantha for his warm and professional service. We’d also like to thank all the other wonderful restaurant staff whose names we unfortunately didn’t catch. Their kindness towards our children meant so much to us. Our final evening was unforgettable—a beautifully served BBQ dinner by the lake with a bonfire. It was one of the most memorable moments of our entire holiday. Special thanks to Chef Nipun, Chef Deepal, and Upul for the incredible food and hospitality. Thank you to the entire Cinnamon Lodge team for giving our family memories we’ll cherish forever.

De kamers zijn comfortabel, schoon en sfeervol. Het resort is in een prachtige stijl gebouwd. Mooi zwembad en bedjes in het groen.

− Het is een groot resort. De maaltijden komen in buffet vorm. Kwaliteit is prima. Maar wel de sfeer van buffet eten.
