Beautiful hotel with lovely surroundings, but unfortunately our overall experience was disappointing. The service was consistently very slow and not attentive enough, and the condition of our bathroom was below expectations. Considering the price and 5-star rating, we expected a much higher standard of service and attention to detail.

Lovely hotel

This is a lovely hotel. If you want a peaceful holiday, this is a wonderful hotel to choose. Spa is great. Food is very good. Both adults and children in our family enjoyed the holiday. Several restaurants just a short walk away. Views are stunning. Only criticism was that a large party was held in the hotel one night where party attendees were making a huge amount of noise until 3.30am! My elderly parents didn’t get to sleep until after this time. Seemed really inappropriate for the small intimate nature of the hotel and the proximity of the suites to the main party area and DJ (literally 10 steps!) 2 attendees of the party were so drunk they were attempting to get into my parents room at 2.30am. Really unacceptable and no staff of the hotel seemed to take any action. If there’s no parties on… it’s great! 👍🏼

Golden Wedding Anniversary Celebration

We were on a organised holiday along with approx 60 people. Sadly on our arrival 1st July was chaotic to say the least, the staff on reception were totally disorganized. It came across as if we were a group of people who turned up unexpectedly, wanting a load of rooms! Unfortunately on our arrival the weather was really awful, which is out of their control, and due to this not many of the group wanted to wandered out for dinner. This lead to their restaurant and bar area being unable to cope with the influx of demand. Also disappointed on arrival that knowing that a large group from england, which they knew about, were unable to show the england world cup football game. But told we could watch the USA game later that evening!! Luckily there was another guest who was able to set up his laptop to the TV, but this was due to the guest and not the manager of the hotel. It is a nice hotel but not sure there's a lot to do around this area, we had to get a taxi into the nearest town which was 45 euro's each way, we were not offered the shuttle bus presuming they still run one. Our room 202 was very nice but found the 2 saloon doors into the dressing/bathroom would not close properly, and there was an issue with the pop up plug which would not hold water, luckily my partner sort of fixed it. Breakfast good with a good selection, staff were very good. Pool area was nice however we decided to swim in the lake.
