− Problems with vibration through bed, manger told me I would get a 50% refund as I'd had a bad night, this hasn't been done.
Dreadful Stevenage
1.0The location for Knebworth.
− I booked this to attend a concert at Knebworth through booking.com. I only wanted to stay one night but had to book three nights. Two days before I was due to arrive I received a from the hotel to say the air conditioning in the bedroom was not working. I had booked a non refundable room so could not cancel. On arrival at the hotel during a heat wave I found a small plastic fan to cool the room. All this did was blow hot air around the room. Sleeping in the room was unbearable. I would have been more comfortable in a Mexican prison cell than this bedroom. I found out from a member of staff that the air conditioning had been a problem for years. Holiday Inn express charged me £660 for this miserable experience. No money back was offered until I challenged the hotel staff about the situation. Holiday Inn Express very very deceitful.
Good to know
The hotel air conditioning is currently unavailable due to planned upgrade works. Contractors will be working during business hours and some noise is expected during the day.
