A warm and welcoming family-run complex. The area is very quiet and it is the first time we've not done a lot of sightseeing trips as we usually like to explore the areas we stay in. This was exactly what was needed and besides a snorkeling trip to The Blue Lagoon we spent our days by the beach and/or pool. Our room (221) had a kitchen area which we upgraded to. It was a brilliant choice as we could have breakfast when we decided!) The pool was cold. 'but OK once you're in!' The beach is a short walk over a field (be prepared to walk over soil). Phoebe & the rest of the team were all lovely and went out of their way to assist in anything we needed or asked for. Thank you for the late check-out- it helped massively, considering we had an evening departure flight. We have arrived home feeling thoroughly relaxed and happy!

The intimate hotel with a soul.

A few days ago, we returned from an off-season stay and we’re absolutely delighted! The hotel is very well maintained, simple yet elegant – rooms were tidy, cleaned regularly. The atmosphere is homely and peaceful, away from the crowds – a perfect place to truly relax. The sea view from our window was breathtaking! We chose the all-inclusive option – the food was delicious and fresh, made from local ingredients. Breakfasts were a bit repetitive, but lunches and dinners were excellent, varied, and always tasty. The pool bar offered a wide selection of drinks, including options beyond the standard all-inclusive menu (purchased separately). The owner is an incredibly warm person, and her piano playing in the evenings created a wonderful atmosphere. The entire staff deserves praise – helpful, kind, and always smiling. We truly felt cared for throughout our stay. It’s a charming, intimate hotel with a soul – perfect for anyone seeking peace, relaxation, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

Amazing Hidden Gem

We cannot praise this wonderful hidden gem Akamanthea Holiday Village enough. We had a very bad start to our 2 week holiday due to failings at another hotel in Latchi, but we discovered Akamanthea. They saved our holiday and welcomed us with open arms. Everything was absolutely perfect - the staff were amazing, friendly and helpful - the food was great - rooms were clean and the whole place had a good relaxed atmosphere. We had a decent size apartment which was well furnished. The location between Latchi and Polis was perfect for trying different places to eat, or the holiday village has a meal available each evening. I can highly recommend this place and would certainly stay here again. Thank you to Phoebe and the family for saving our holiday and making it so special.

Quiet and peaceful hotel

We arrived late Saturday night to find plates of food were left for us in the room in case we were hungry which I thought bode extremely well for the rest of the stay! The village hotel is small and intimate with well kept grounds and lovely Staff. Miss Phoebe the owner is lovely and plays the piano in the evenings which was a lovely touch to our stay. Th hotel was lovely and reasonable for the all inclusive offer we had. We went the first week of October and it was just the quiet we needed with a few guests it felt like it was completely ours which was lovely. the pool is not too deep and well kept, the food was lovely and the staff are kinda and attentive. Latchi beach is a short 5-10 walk away across the fields and Polis is 10-15minute taxi. both towns are walkable if you fancied it. would recommend to go in October if you'd like a quiet holiday at a family run hotel.

absolute hidden gem

Visit 5 sept 25 -12th sept 25 - temp 30 ++ every day Others have left reviews saying this is a hidden gem and they was spot on !! This is a family owned place and you can tell it is a labour of love for them. Phoebe (not sure if i've spelt it correctly) the owner is so nice you can tell this is her baby and she is very proud of this and quite rightly so and all of the staff are lovely. The place is nicely laid out, pool area is lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds so none of the towels out at dawn rubbish. At times we were the only ones in / around the pool so it felt like we had a private villa. Not sure what kind of holiday you are after but I don't like anything too much, I don't want sunbeds crammed too close together or music blaring around the pool. Here there is plenty of space and there is music but its not overpowering. We hired a car (hubby loves driving and exploring abroad) and there are plenty of restaurants within a 5 min drive (walk if you want to in that heat) in Polis in one direction and Latchi in the other. There is a beach 5 mins down a dirt track, take shoes its shale lol. There are sandy beaches around and we like exploring and found coral bay which is a good drive but is a gorgeous beach. Latchi is literally 5 mins , this is where the boats leave for the blue lagoon, You can literally walk down and choose which boat you want to go on. The blue lagoon is gorgeous and if you don't fancy going on a big boat you can hire a small boat and they give you full instructions , directions etc. Phoebe is a pianist and if you are lucky you will be invited to a performance by her , she did a little concert for us (weds) and she was so so good !! The hospitality of the Cypriot people is amazing , everyone we met was so so nice. It was our first visit to Cyprus and it wont be our last. The day before we was due to leave my husband asked about checkout time and the response was 'there is no one else due in the tomorrow so no rush' I appreciate that wont happen for everyone but it shows you how nice they all was. Cant wait to go back !!!!
