1.0− They are RACIST! They gave my room away to someone else, never reach out to me never had communication. He act like I was scum on the bottom of his shoes then was VERY nice to the white people behind me! If you are not white I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel, very rude to me, wasn't accommodating with helping resolve a issue on THEIR end for a lack of communication!. I just moved into town and wanted a nice stay at the local hotel. I was treated like I was below them and I feel like I didn't deserve to be humiliated and made to be reminded that Im just a little black boy who doesn't belong in their establishment. I will be making a formal complaint!
Old style, friendly, clean, 1 mile from famous canal locks
8.0Nice stay in Lockport. Clean, big room, bed was good ( a mattress topper would be great), friendly & helpful staff. It’s not for everyone, since it’s older and a bit worn on some of the edges. It’s 1 mile from our destination of the Erie Canal Discovery Center and the famous canal locks, so walking distance (nicer if you walk through the neighborhoods 1 block off the main road). One thing that could have been a problem: smoking allowed on the shared exterior hallway, so if you open the window, you could be inhaling carcinogens. Maybe it’d be good to designate some outside spaces as no smoking - or better yet, make only some spaces smoking?
Just what we needed when prices were high in the Falls as it's summertime because we weren't tourists.
