Warm, friendly staff. Very comfortable accommodation with thoughtful touches in the room such as the fridge and tower fan. Great location in easy walking distance into the city centre. Fabulous breakfast. Lovely garden. Easy parking.

Great B & B within walking distance to Hereford. We had a warm welcome from the hosts on arrival who explained the everything we needed to know from breakfast being served to accessing the B & B when coming back from an evening out. The bedroom was on the second floor which was small but big enough for an overnight stay. The bed and pillows were really comfortable and the room including bathroom were spotlessly clean. There was a fan but as it was exceptionally hot weather which made the room a little uncomfortable during the night. We sat in the beautiful garden during the evening which was peaceful and we were welcomed by the owners elderly dog (forgot his name) and as dog lovers it was really nice. There is a bar and a mini bar in the rooms with a honesty box, write your room, name and what you have taken and pay when leaving. The breakfast was exceptional with a choice from cereals, juices and a selection of cooked items which were cooked to order. We would stay here again.

− The only thing was the bedroom was a little too warm even with a fan and window open but it was exceptionally hot weather so other than another fan (we didn't ask for one) not much could be done.

Somerville House in Hereford is quite possibly the best B&B we've found to date. Perfectly situated close enough to the town centre to be a leisurely stroll yet far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle and traffic noise, set back from the quiet road and a stones throw from the train station without being near the track, a very peaceful night's sleep is guaranteed . The most genuine of warmest welcomes awaits you from Sheila and Steve who have thought of everything you need to make your stay perfect and make you feel like you've known them forever rather than having just met them and nothing is too much trouble, a cosy, homely atmosphere wraps you up as soon as you say hello. The rooms are absolutely gleaming, not a speck of dust to be found and a bathroom so polished you have to wear shades. The rooms have a fridge with a great selection of reasonably priced beers, ciders, wines, soft drinks and snacks and to top it off you can help yourself from the fridge downstairs to complimentary fresh milk for your teas and coffeees and also to drinks which you then pay for on leaving, perfect if you want to spend a summer evening in the beautiful garden with a bottle of wine. In the morning breakfast can not be bettered, a fine selection of cereal and fruit followed by a hot offering of your choice from porridge to kippers to a traditional full English which is what we had and which we could not fault, fresh local produce perfectly cooked setting you up for the day ahead. Absolutely superb!!!
