Location and the available tours

− The reception staff were poorly trained and unable to explain the booking and payment system, which included the tour and the deposit. We are still waiting for an itemized bill, as it seems we paid more than we expected. We were not alone when we were checking in everyone else had the same query as to how the payment made on arrival was broken down

My husband and I booked a room for one night during our June visit to the Canadian Rockies. it was fabulous! . I could talk about the great placement (on the way between Jasper and Lake Louise), and the rooms (bright, clean, beautifully appointed, and the sights (the Skyway, (a walk out above the terrain), and the Glacier (to which we were brought by Special snowmobile bus and had time to walk on). But what really made this place special were the people behind the venue. Sam the area manager, along with Heidi, in the tour section helped initially with some concerns that we needed clarified before we could arrive. Sam was incredibly calming and thoughtful and connected us with whom we ultimately needed to speak with. Vanessa (area manager of the hotel) was unbelievable as she as she reached out to us and followed up with our concerns . She made the whole visit relaxing and fun. One of the questions we had were food allergies and Vanessa alerted the kitchen and then each staff we came into contact with at the restaurant was able and ready to help us. The tours itself, with the tour guides (Malachi and Kilan (Sp)> were great in explaining the glacier, the vehicles, the surrounding area we were visiting. This had been a bucket list item, visiting a glacier in the Canadian Rockies. Often what is wished for is not as grand as imagined. This visit exceeded expectations. Highly Recommend.

Lovely hotel at the right spot with an amazing view

We loved the view. We loved the room size and facilities The only problem was that it was quite noisy and we could hear guests coming and going and opening doors. Our room was right next to the elevator too. The free snacks and cocktail was the best I have seen in a while.

The logistics in running this centre,that also caters for day trippers must be incredibly complex. However certain aspects of the lodge we found irritating. Catering for large groups means the beautiful lounge is too small. Dinner, although beautifully presented had issues. My wife’s trout was nice but the jus was inedible. Extremely salty & fishy but not in a pleasant way . My soup had a lovely flavour but tepid.However the lovely waitress returned it to be heated. She also discounted the cost of the trout. Considering the high cost of the hotel there was a parsimonious aspect to the hotel. At the pre trip reception, one was only allowed one drink. In their words, so there was enough to go around. There was a buffet breakfast that we were not offered until I pointed it out to the waiter after seeing guests coming back loaded with food. She was most apologetic. The cooked breakfast only offered one item with one’s eggs. So you could only have sausage or bacon. At about 23 CAD, mean. The AC couldn’t be adjusted. As the outside temp was freezing, to start messing around with a Dyson heater at 3am was crazy. All in all the staff are lovely but I question the attitude of the owners to their guests that have come a long way & paid a lot of money.

Goed hotel in prachtige omgeving

Fantastische locatie kijkend op de gletsjer. Personeel super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt en diner was smakelijk. Zeker een aanrader om hier een nacht te verblijven. Prachtige omgeving
