10.0Everything was good besides the sofa bed we had
− When we pulled out the sofa bed it was all torn and riped and the sheets were like stained with blood or poop
Not very good surely not Marriott standards
2.0I made this reservation at TownePlace Suites a few months ago and even recommended the hotel to some friends who were traveling with us. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing Marriott stays we've had. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. When we first pulled into the parking lot, the building looked older and somewhat run down. We went inside to see if our room was ready, and the front desk associate said it was. After checking us in, I mentioned that our friends would be arriving later and asked if they could be placed near us. She gladly said she would put a note in the computer, which I appreciated. As we walked to the elevator, the hallways felt very warm and had a muggy, musty smell. When the elevator doors opened on the third floor, there were multiple trash bags sitting throughout the hallway. We opened the door to our room and immediately noticed the same musty odor. The room was freezing because the air conditioner had been set to 64 degrees. After putting our bags down, I opened the refrigerator to put away a few items and was shocked by how dirty it was. The shelves looked like they had been wiped with the same dirty rag used in room after room without being rinsed. The couch had several burn holes and looked like food and drinks had been spilled on it many times. The carpet also appeared to have been vacuumed very poorly, almost as if someone simply made a quick pass over it. Another frustration was that the room only had one telephone, located on the work desk, and it didn't even work. We tried calling the front desk for assistance but couldn't get through, so we ended up having to walk downstairs to get what we needed. That shouldn't happen at any hotel, especially a Marriott property. Then our friends arrived. Their room was supposed to be ready by 4:00 p.m., but at 4:40 they were told they would have to be sent to another hotel because no rooms were available. About 10 minutes later, they were suddenly given a room, although it was on a different floor. Unfortunately, their room had the same musty smell and lack of cleanliness as ours. Breakfast was another disappointment. The egg omelet was rubbery, and the chicken sausage patties were so dried out they were like beef jerky, as if they had been repeatedly microwaved. Just after 9:00 a.m., I watched the breakfast attendant carry a plate overflowing with sausage patties down the hallway while only a handful remained in the serving pan. It would have made much more sense to keep the food available for guests instead of removing it. Throughout our stay, I also overheard several guests asking for towels, bedding, and toilet paper because their rooms didn't have enough supplies. When we left each morning, I also noticed there were no housekeeping carts or staff on any of the floors, something we normally see at Marriott properties. We've stayed at many Marriott hotels over the years, and this property simply did not meet the standards we've come to expect from the brand. Sadly, we won't be returning.
Disappointed and run down
2.0One of the worst Marriott we have stayed at. The hotel was dirty and smelled like garbage. It took them three days to clean up all the trash that was left on every floor plus outside. No towels in the pool area or the gym the whole 5 days we were there. The housekeeper was a rock star. On sunday there was only two people work at the hotel whole day she was so busy clean my than 20 rooms her self, But was able to Vacuum my room and refresh my linen. The was clean but needs so work.We would have went to a different Marriott but everything around was sold out. Very disappointed best we only get one vacation a year and we felt like management diducare about the families who look forward to there stay. Do not stay here…..
DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!
2.0THEY WILL GIVE AWAY YOUR ROOM AND LEAVE YOU STRANDED! I am giving a 0 review. At 8:15pm the manager had an employee call my husband to state that my room was cancelled even though I requested a late check in at 9pm. I called two days prior and spoke to the hotel directly saying I was coming in late from a tournament. I was told they held rooms till 2am, and I didn’t have to call the day of. At 8:15 pm the front desk called my husband, said I didn’t have a room, refused to connect him with the manager, and didn’t try to make any concessions! After a 12 hour day, my daughter and I had no where to stay- every hotel in the greater Harrisburg/ Hersey area was sold out. At 9:00pm we had to cancel our plans the next day and started our 5 hour drive home.
Would stay again

− Staying there for years when I’m in town just needs a little refresh
