Hugely disappointing and inconvenient.
1.0We have stayed before many times but this visit? Nothing.
− We didn't stay the whole night in the end. We had rung before setting off twice to ask if the aircon was working (to get away from the heat for a night). We were assured that it was working. It was not. We waited in the room, then spoke to a member of staff who asked for assistance from maintenance. They failed to rectify the problem and we had to go home. It was hotter than staying where we lived. A lot of inconvenience, a promise that it would be cool and no real concern. It seems weddings are the main priority these days.

8.0The grounds were really lovely and the room was nice.
− We hadn't realised that the steps in the clock tower room were so long and we had large cases as we were going away after our stay, so had to leave everything down stairs. As we were in the courtyard we felt a bit isolated from the hotel, although we were out a lot so didn't actually spend much time there.
