Little gem
8.0We stayed here as part of a golf package - the Headfort courses are 2 minutes down the road. Staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. We ate in the main bar area (with our package we had a 20 euro credit one night) and Vanilla and both were very good. The portions are generous! The hotel also owns the Kelltic bar next door, which is also worth a visit. Must also mention the breakfasts - lots of choice and nice large pots of tea. The rooms are reasonably spacious and the bed was extremely comfy. There was a coffee maker as well as a kettle, and also a bottle of water refreshed daily. There was also a water station on one of the floors which is a really good idea. We stayed in the old part of the hotel with a room facing the main street so there was a lot of traffic noise from quite early. Request a room in the new part for a better night's sleep, although we were given earplugs which did help. The hotel has a small beauty spa, and I had an amazing hot stone massage - thank you Victoria :). Lots of parking at the back of the hotel and there is also a lovely garden.
