Upscale quiet hotel with parking and excellent A/C for summer
9.0I wanted a hotel with easy in-out parking and in a quiet part of Figueira da Foz. And with excellent A/C since it was summer in Portugal. The Malibu Hotel met our needs as the room was comfortable with a coffee maker and kettle and quiet at night. The public areas are relaxing though we never got to use the pool. Parking is outside around the back. The air conditioning was individual units in each room so we could set the temperature via remote as we wish. Breakfast had a very good fresh selection of food and drink to start each day. Overall a perfect weekend stay in a less touristy part of town.
− As you can see on Google Maps, it's a bit of a walk to the main part of town and the large beach in Figueira da Foz. I didn't mind the walk but it can be uphill back at times. They have a cozy cinema room (didn't see any schedule of films) and a cigar bar (I don't smoke so would have preferred something else). The staff were friendly and helpful after our first room had a problem where the door lock didn't work and we insisted on changing rooms.
