Idyllic but tired.
5.0The location was very idyllic. It was very reasonable and included the breakfast.
− The room was tired. Needed a refresh. Seemed a lack of attention to detail and a personal touch to make you feel welcome.

6.0Breakfast was good, parking and quiet.
− I was in the room 1 Stables, no window in main room, only a sky light. Room felt small, so had the door open for some of the evening. No wifi as was broken apparently. No window in room, only a sky light. Disappointed with cleanliness; dust and cobwebs begind bedside table (i plugged in my mobile phone charger). As well as black mold in the bathroom. Will not stay again.
Too noisy to stay due to loud music
4.0Ease of check-in. Great location as near work.
− Sadly I couldn't stay as there was music coming from a neighbour and it continued very loudly until past 11:30pm, sometimes the same repetitive song and I could still hear it when I closed the windows so I was unable to relax and get to sleep as there was no aircon or fan so I was uncomfortably hot too. I decided to leave and go home which meant a drive of over 1.5 hours and then a very early start the next morning to come back to the area for work! I've stayed here before and not experienced this so it was disappointing, but something I realise is out of the control of the venue.
Guest House and tea room - my idea of heaven!
10.0Warm welcome and very friendly staff Easy to find and park Beautiful gardens, very quiet and peaceful location so we slept well Bed and pillows very comfortable- super crisp. and clean white Shower super easy to work- always a bonus in my opinion!! Breakfast was fab - see photos. Surrounding area lovely for a wee walk about as next to canal, antiques shops and se real pubs for evening meals that also have outdoor seating areas Highly recommend!!!
