Surprised at how good it was for the price
9.0Everything was as we were told plenty of food for breakfast. Room very big good quality furnishings comfortable. Tea coffee hot chocolate and biscuits in the room.
− Shower very new and clean but maybe a bit more water pressure would be appreciated
Pleasant stay, friendly staff, nice breakfast better if we had been able to use the spa bath
7.0It was easy to find. The room was large and spacious with en-suite.
− Better signage to tell patrons where the car park for the hotel is. We couldn’t get the spa bath to work and there wasn’t any instructions. Two of the feet of the settee were broken so it was standing on books. Staff said this was in hand
A short but enjoyable stay, enjoyed breakfast and the location was very convenient.
8.0The room was tastefully decorated with all the amenities we needed. The bathroom/shower was spacious and shower was hot and powerful. The bed was comfortable too, The breakfast was very good with the cooked element nicely made to our order and presented well. Choice of cereals, yogurts and a very welcome cooked fruit mix were enjoyed.
− The entrance and stairs weren't very inviting, the carpet looking a little grubby - probably all the hiking boots and local customers! It was obviously a well frequented bar area. One or two things in the room could do with renewal/repair though there was a very nice new chair and everything was very clean. Unfortunately the night we stayed, a Friday, there was some late night street noise (loud voices), Obviously beyond the hotel control but otherwise it was peaceful enough.
Staff were amazing. Food was pub grub cooked well

Great place to stay.
9.0My room was large, spacious and very comfortable. (Comfy bed and pillows, carpet, table and chairs, surface to put my bag on) The food was good - evening meal and breakfast. This was an inn and had no loud music so the noise you had downstairs was of cheerful friendly people all chatting and enjoying themselves. It gave a lovely atmosphere.
− The only negative comment is that it was very hot in the room as we were having a heatwave. The staff may need to consider a fan to help cool the room.
