2.0Die Lage ist gut, der Rest zum Vergessen! Vermutlich übernommen worden, denn die Beschreibung stimmt in keinster Weise mit der Realität überein. Das Zimmer war so halbwegs in Ordnung, zwar waren die Handtücher zuerst schmutzig, würdenaber auf Nachfrage gewechselt. Aber das Bad war schlichtweg eine Katastrophe. Siehe Fotos. Finger weg!
− Das Bad war desolat, mit Schimmel, kaputtem und schmutzigem Waschtisch, Miniwaschbecken ohne sinnvollem Stöpsel, dafür schmutzig…. Das Frühstück lueblos und dürftig. Leider ein Reinfall. Schade, dass die Beschreibung nicht stimmt. Wer einen günstigen Hostelcharakter sucht, wäre hier richtig.

7.0Great location. Good parking outside. Comfortable room, but a bit tired ( like the hotel)
− It didn't start well when the receptionist asked on check in if we wanted to purchase breakfast. " We already have done" " No you haven't " " Er, yes we have" "No you haven't " ( We had and had proof) This is clearly not a 4 * hotel, despite the signs. It was once, I'm sure, but I suspect is now being run by people who are not used to running hotels. Breakfast was a bit of a shambles. The waiter/receptionist ( samd person) tried hard, but it really hadn't been thought through. One couple left to go to a nearby coffee shop instead. I really hope they manage to sort it out ( probably by spending a bit more money on missing vital equipment) I'd be glad to go into detail with the hotel if they would like to get in touch.

There is plenty of such parking all around The Mowbray. Parking Permits are available on request. These provide parking all day and until 11:00 the following morning for just £3.50 per day.
In conformity to UK legislation The Mowbray is a no smoking property and only has nonsmoking rooms. We guide our guests to the nearest smoking area if needed. Unfortunately a charge of £150 is added to any account where this has been breached.
As The Mowbray is In our delightful late Victorian or early Edwardian historic building there are some limitations for those with severely reduced mobility. The doors do not allow for wheelchairs use, the front door is up a few steps and the breakfast room is accessed by stairs, but for those with more mobility there are 2 good handrails at the entrance and the breakfast stairs, a elevator goes to all bedrooms from the entrance floor and every ensuite, has a walk-in shower. We can serve a limited breakfast in the guest lounge if the breakfast stairs prove impossible. Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation.
Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian.
