10.0Avril went out of her way to make sure I had a comfortable stay - the homemade shortbread in the room was heavenly. The breakfast was superb (no lunch required!) with a fresh fruit granola to start then a brilliant 'Ulster Fry' (other options were available). The room was comfortable and the setting quiet and peaceful. Lovely lounge area were I was able to socialise with some of my family. The Inn is quite a way out of Comber but close to many of the sights of the area, particularly Espie Nature reserve and Nendrum. The restaurant is now closed but Poachers Pocket nearby as recommended by Avril is fantastic. I will definitely stay here again.

9.0I've stayed here a couple of times before. A place to get away from everything - lovely and quiet. The room was good - a big room with 2 x beds. And a big bathroom, which was good too. Breakfast is always great and Avril and her son were very welcoming.
− The single bed in the room was a bit springy - not as comfy as the double bed in the last room I stayed in.

10.0Avril was very accommodating and able to move me to a different room as it was very warm weather. She was able to move me to a cooler room. This was also a bigger room (so a bonus too). The bed was very comfortable and it had a good shower (over a bath). Breakfast was great - a lovely fruit salad followed by a fry. They catered well for my gluten free preference too and I had a lovely mint tea with mint from their garden. Love how quiet it is at The Old Schoolhouse too. A home from home.
− The WiFi wasn't great in my room, but was better when I went outside. They had a WiFi extender but for some reason it wasn't great on this occasion (though has been much better on previous visits).
