10.0We requested an early breakfast. The chef came in early to set up and cooked a Full English which was delicious. Nothing was to much trouble. We also booked for evening meal which was also very good. All the staff couldn't do enough for you and make you very welcome.
Hospitality at a level I have never seen before
10.0This service here is UNREAL. Without going into details, I had mucked up my booking. At surely ENORMOUS inconvenience to themselves, the staff rearranged things head over heels to get me a room. This was a unique situation, but, having travelled a lot all around the world, I can’t imagine there are many places that would have gone to the lengths that the staff at the Countryman Inn did to see me right. Not flashy service, just pure old-fashioned English kindness, decency and hospitality. Utter class. The young barmaid was amazingly professional, personable and can-do, backed up all the way by the landlord. In an age of red-tape and forms and computer-says-no, this was, in the best possible sense, an experience as if from a bygone age. I cannot praise the landlord and his team enough, or thank them enough.

10.0The Countryman’s Inn was ideal for our stay during a working trip in North Yorkshire. Brilliant Pub Inn, superb staff and the overall free of the location was excellent. Will stay again.
