10.0My single room cosy and clean with everything I needed. The bed was very comfy and the full English breakfast was lovely. Jane was very friendly and welcoming, I'd highly recommend staying here.

10.0Situated within easy walking distance of Lord Street and the town's main attractions, the Bowden Lodge was ideal for my weekend stay. The public rooms - lounge and breakfast room - are spacious and show off the building's character; the single bedroom was modern, very clean and with all the usual facilities. The couple who run the Bowden Lodge were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was nicely cooked. There is parking at the front and a bus stop right outside. There is a small fridge in the room with fresh milk for tea and coffee making- a nice touch. A minor point is that the shower could perhaps be a little more powerful. Overall a very comfortable and welcoming establishment.
