A friendly stay
7.0The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was lovely. Very accommodating for our dog.
− Overall it's a bit tired and missing the Cotswold character. It felt like more cleaning was needed as the stairs had moths, bugs and spider webs in it. Overall, the hotel needed more effort put into it. Our room was very small and hot and we only had a quilt on the bed, no top sheet. Why do hotels continue to do this and not adjust bedding for the season?
There to visit family and staff did not disappoint

Convenient for Brize & Local Businesses but it needs some TLC.
5.0Easy to find. Big towels. They provided a room fan in the hot weather. Easy parking. Bar staff were good.
− The door to room 106 sticks. There were no toiletries in the room. The soap holder was empty. The shower head needed a good clean as only a dribble of water was flowing before I cleaned it. There was no chef in the pub/restaurant, hence I have no dinner.

5.0Lady that ran the bar extremely friendly and provided excellent service. Bed was clean and also bathroom. Fabulous location.
− Carpets all could either have a thoroughly good cleaning or preferably replaced. Breakfast very overcooked and incredibly small portion - waiter had no personality whatsoever.

− The walk-in shower was a good size, but it was not really clean, and the tiled floor had grout missing. I booked an evening meal for myself and my elderly mother, who has coeliacs, but when we got there, we were told that they had an event on so they could only offer scampi and chips, which my Mum could not have, or risotto. As we'd been out all day, we settled for what was offered, but the risotto was not at all good and the people coming in for the event were moving tables around and making so much noise that we had to move tables. I would have made more sense not to take the booking. We weren't even given an apology.
