10.0I've been to Ayr many times but this was our first time at Daviot's. We were greeted warmy by Linda, who showed us to our room on the middle floor. While there were four rooms at the top of the stairs, we never heard another soul during our four day stay. The bed was comfortable and the recommendations for dining excellent.

10.0Quiet BnB close to the city center and beach. Easily walked to restaurants, pubs, and shopping. Provided a parking pass for car in front of property, so did not need to drive in order to enjoy Ayr. Overall, a very good experience!

OK - but poor value for money
6.0OK stay at the Daviot House: room was tidy and clean and the welcome was exceptionally pleasant. However, our room was very small; refreshment selection was poor; there was inadequate storage and table space; and value for money seemed poor compared to other hotels/guest houses in the same area.
