Great staff, service, room and food! Well thought out garden and very dog friendly.

A few areas that could use a paint touch up.

Fair to good - few issues, some could be easily resolved.

Excellent breakfast - good quality, location worked well for us, plenty of parking, friendly staff.

Room very small, reduced head height and incredibly hot and stuffy. Bed very firm, furniture dark & chunky - made room seem even smaller. There was a fan in the room but it was only blowing the hot air around. I would have expected drinking water in the room, especially given the temperature. No toiletries either though I understand we could have requested these. Could do with a grab rail to aid getting in and out of the bath to have a shower. We didn’t appreciate the cleaner hoovering around us at breakfast and I think you need to give poor Henry Hoover a good clean out (smelt unpleasant).

Staff were lovely, especially Jack who went out his way to be accommodating (and the young chap who covered breakfast after England quarter final game). Really loved the food, chef is also the owner and its clear he takes great pride in his cooking.

Room was quite small and just too hot with warm weather but not much they can do. I was a bit nervous with notice of resident cats that may visit room (we have dogs) though it was fine. Limited toiletries provisions under guise of saving the planet...
