Everything I needed and more
10.0Really enjoyed my stay. I had everything I needed plus more. A really well run hotel where the owners had thought of everything. Very relaxed and friendly atmosphere with assurances to 'just ask' if there was anything I needed. Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice and all so fresh. I enjoyed sitting in the garden - so quiet and relaxing. Just a few minutes walk to the beach one way and the train station the other way. A bus to Brixham/Torquay/Newton Abbot stops close by. Parking for one car per room which is a real bonus.

9.0Breakfest was Great . English breakfest , Toaste & even make sandwiches for our sleeping teen... Great back Garden area which we used every evening .. a Trust bar so you can help your self to beers, wines , drinks ... they have books and DVD's to borrow if you want .. nice car park out the front . small walk to the beach ...

As a sole traveller, the accommodation and location were perfect for a 4 night stay.
9.0The location is perfect for walkable access to the town centre, train and bus stations with the lovely sandy beach, Goodrington Sands, and the Dartmouth Steam Railway just a few minutes walk away. The breakfast menu was delicious with the option of a full English breakfast. The bed was super comfy and the bathroom spotlessly clean. The hosts went the extra mile by giving me a lift to the train station while my car was in a local garage for repairs! I would definitely stay in the Amber House again.

Just what we needed for a short break in a lovely area.
10.0We were looked after very well by the friendly staff. We couldn't fault the accommodation or the location, its a short walk to some lovely beaches and plenty of places to eat.

10.0Great menu choice at breakfast. Dog friendly and Debbie and Paul are the best at making you feel welcome and providing everything you need.
