Good location, good value.
10.0Had a pleasant experience at this hotel. It’s in a great location in the Old Quarter. The staff was very helpful and even presented my husband with a birthday cake.
Pefect Location
10.0This hotel is perfect for a visit to Hanoi. Located right in in the center of the Old Quarter, step outside the hotel and the weekend night market is right outside the hotel's door. The staff was friendly and wonderful. They even gave us a small gift when we departed. We booked the Deluxe Double which was on an upper floor. The room was lovely and even with all of the activity going on outside, we did not hear any of it from our room. The breakfast was adequate, although not ample. Skip the pho at the hotel for breakfast and buy some at a local restaurant as it is not very tasty. But otherwise, we had a wonderful stay.
Boutique Feeling Hotel right in the centre of the action of the old town
10.0Oriental Suites Hotel and Spa – the hotel is in quite a small but busy street. Hotel reception friendly, helpful and efficient and we were checked in and rooms allocated in next to no time – we were given cold towels and a lovely herbal tea while waiting. I didn’t realise when we booked this hotel that the rooms had no external window. Just a small window that opened to a dark internal courtyard. Rooms were compact, but clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom/rainfall shower and good selection of toiletries and amenities. Free daily bottled water and tea/coffee. The first night I did find the room a little claustrophobic but discovered there was a small reading light at the bedside that could be positioned to point to the wall to give just enough light to negotiate the room without it being too bright. Breakfast was simple with a small buffet and a table menu to request certain items cooked to order. We found this hotel charming with almost a boutique feel. The lady on their concierge desk was also very helpful with any questions we had. On our first evening we ventured out and found one of the local lakes at the bottom of the street so had a walk around this which was lovely as all the locals were out for a stroll. We had dinner in a traditional Vietnamese restaurant then on returning to the hotel discovered that at weekends the street is turned into a night market which was full on chaos with the whole street full of stalls – despite this there was no noise or disturbance in the hotels rooms. During our stay at this hotel we took the Halong Bay Full-Day with 6 Hour Cruise Kayaking, Swimming, Lunch https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/AttractionProductReview-g293924-d13475057-Halong_Bay_Full_Day_with_6_Hour_Cruise_Kayaking_Swimming_Lunch-Hanoi.html On our free day we found a one hour city tour (kiosks for tickets were located near the lake) there were 2 options – first was a double decker bus but it doesn’t service stop 1 at weekends so involved a walk to the opera house. The 2nd and cheaper option was a single decker bus that picked up not far from the booth at the bottom of the street where the hotel was – we chose this option. There was only us on the bus and the driver took the opportunity to stop at several locations and let us off to take photos even though it wasn’t a hop on hop off ticket that we bought. It ended up a 90 minute journey, and we got to see all of the major sites of the city. After this we took a walk to Railway Café – which is part of the famous Train Street – this was just a short 15 minute walk from the hotel, compared to if you put Train Street into Google Maps which gives a location 35 minutes away. This is a must do if visiting Hanoi – check Google for the train times and arrive early as the cafes do get busier when a train is due. 4 beers and 2 Bahn Mi sandwiches cost us just £5! Here we dined in The Old Viet Restaurant https://maps.app.goo.gl/DJuE4yorJGZWs7uy5 Coffee Club which was a great rooftop location https://maps.app.goo.gl/oVdbSMQ9cp3B8XSc7 Factory 47 – great wood fired pizza https://maps.app.goo.gl/Z7ndygHUxz7c4TQR9 We also had drinks one evening in one of Hanoi’s many roof top bars – Moonlight Sky Bar https://maps.app.goo.gl/bvVZWJ2mgE2ud2zi9
The best staff!!
10.0Let's start with the hotel, It's in the best area, close to everything in the old quarter, right in front of the market. But even though it's in the heart of the city, I didn't hear a single noise. The rooms, was very cozy and soundproof, which is the best part. But the best thing of all was the staff, very friendly at all times. especially want to thank Sabrina! She made my vacation feel safe! She always asked if I was okay, helped me by giving me recommendations, and made my vacation even more enjoyable. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ to Sabrina. Thank you 🙏 for everything! Never stop being yourself! ✨✨✨✨
Exceeds every expectations!!
10.0Oriental Hotel Suites and Spa surpassed my expectations on every front. Perfectly located in the heart of Hanoi, it offers effortless access to the city’s key attractions with everything just a short walk away. The rooms are great and the overall ambience of the hotel is very elegant. The staff deserve special praise for their warmth and attentiveness. I would particularly like to acknowledge Sabrina (Hoàng Huê) who not only helped us plan our Hanoi itinerary but also arranged tours for our trip to Da Nang. A heartfelt thank you to her for going above and beyond.
Helpful staff!
10.0Great hotel, centrally located in the old quarter with amazing staff - especially Sabrina. She provided phenomenal service and recommendations. The hotel is lucky to have her! She even helped our group during our time outside of Hanoi.
