5.0The reception upon arrival was exactly what you need after a long journey using the London transport services. Nothing at all wrong with the London services but it can be quite intense and overwhelming. Arrival to the hotel was met with a warm and kind reception who was accommodating of all our questions and queries. The location is perfect, just a stone throw away from the train station and a hairs breathe away from restaurants. The area feels high end with a sense of prestige and old money running through its veins. I strongly recommend the coffee shop in the High Street. Its covered in flowers and its just that slice of heaven you need for not just the picture perfect moments of your London trip but also because its an amazing tea shop. Its called Fait Maison in Gloucester Road. You'll know exactly what im talking about when you see it.
− The room was smaller than expected. Actually it was very small. The beds were seperate which I wasn't expecting. There was no space to put the beds together which should give you an idea of the size of the room. The breakfast was much to be desired. The staff were visibly working for their pay and putting in as much as they could but the breakfast could have been better. The toast came without butter which meant we had to wait. When the butter arrived, the toast was already cold. The tea and coffee were luke warm which wasn't great. We got one mushroom for our continental breakfast, one mushroom. I had to reiterate that for dramatic effect but yes, just one mushroom. Apart from that, our stay was pleasant.

8.0Bel hôtel très bien placé, offrant des chambres pour cinq personnes (pratique pour les grandes familles !). Le personnel très agréable et le petit déjeuner très copieux (English breakfast + buffet sucré salé).
− Le petit-déjeuner est servi tôt (de 7h30 à9h), mais au final ça nous a obligé à nous lever tôt et à profiter de nos journée dès le début de matinée.
