Certainly not the standard of the Shangri-la reputation elsewhere in the world!
3.0Check-in was easy.
− Restaurant service exceptionally poor. Limited choice of menu (only 4 main course options). Virtually empty restaurant but ignored for 10 minutes. Gave up and left. No in-room dining menu, although reception provided QR code for the same menu as the restaurant. Thank goodness for Deliveroo! Breakfast - Disappointing best sums it up. Buffet style, but not very extensive choice for a 4 star restaurant. Eggs stone cold. Bacon undercooked (virtually raw). Inedible if you want a hot breakfast. Staff indifferent. Not worth paying for breakfast. Room - booked a city view room. You would expect a view towards the city? I get a ground floor room with a brick wall and metal fence view adjacent to the road! If there is no city view then don't advertise and sell it as that! Room not even finished very well with gap filler around windows. Not really what you expect from a 4 star hotel. Thankfully only stayed one night. Its billed as a 4 star hotel, but its way off that. Certainly not the standard of the Shangri-la reputation elsewhere in the world.
