Lovely Grounds, Large Comfortable Rooms
6.0A one night stay on a walking trip. The rooms are apartment like - large and well furnished. Bathrooms also good size. Grounds and garden are lovely. Remote from town ..... don’t plan on walking in. No view of lake. Staff seem overworked or undermanned - hard to find if you want a beer. Breakfast not so great, i.e. a bit sparse for Americans who like eggs.......

10.0Stay here for the equestrian activity. A few guest brought their dogs for a pet vacation. This is a rustic place with many older paintings and furniture, some in need of TLC! Breakfast included with some variety rather than just the Italian one. Had dinner here during our three night stay. There even prepared simple spaghetti as special request. The place is under utilized. We enjoyed the horse riding. Could not go on trail rides as they said the ground was too dry and hard. We took lessons in am and pm. Camilla was a tough instructor with intensive one hour lesson. Lots of riding without stirrups and active walks. No slackers permitted! We love her and gave her my riding book in English. Had another instructor for the last ride, and she let us relax a bit for the lessons. Want to ride a 17 hands horse? Need a car to find this place. Use goggle map, not Siri. Use an suv as there are pot holes galore on the rural road. Once you know where to drive to, it is a breeze.

10.0The only reason I can see why you would stay here is to enjoy the equestrian stable they have on site. We spent three nights with two full riding days. Breakfast was included, and we had dinners here. We went to town for lunch and to sightsee the lake area. They have a large above ground swimming pool that is nice to cool down after the morning ride. We were the only occupants who stayed and rode. There were some local riders, and a few locals who stayed with their dogs for a pet vacation. Place under utilized. More like a farmhouse with rustic furniture that may need tlc. Need car to get here, otherwise train to town then taxi ride. We used goggle map, Siri sent us to wrong local thrice!

8.0After staying at the Due Laghi for the 4th time in as many years, I can say it's always a pleasure. The cusine is simple but very fresh and tasty, mostly based on local products--often grown in the Due Laghi own garden. The swimming pool is a very nice asset in hot summer day. Rooms are clean and tidy and the personnel always so friendly and dedicated. They make you feel more like a friend than just a customer.
