Misleading name and very inconvenient location – be aware

− The property name is misleading. It gives the impression that it is located near a well-known area in Rome, but in reality it is very far from the city centre (around 1.5–2 hours one way). We booked this place after searching the name on Google Maps, which made the location seem reasonable. However, after confirming the actual address, we realised it was much farther than expected. We contacted the owner within less than 12 hours of booking to request a cancellation, but our request was refused without discussion. As we had already paid a significant amount, we had no choice but to stay. Every day required 1.5–2 hours of travel one way to reach Rome city centre. It was exhausting, and on some nights we missed connections and had to wait an additional 30 minutes in areas that felt unsafe. Another major concern was privacy. We clearly informed the property that we did not require cleaning during our stay, as we wanted to ensure no one entered the room due to personal belongings. The owner agreed, but still entered the room: * Once to switch off the lights * Another time, we returned to find the windows closed and fan turned off We had intentionally kept the windows open and fan on for ventilation and to let in daylight, as the room has limited natural light and fixed louvres that are not adjustable. We were not informed on either occasion, which made the situation very uncomfortable. Additional points to note: * Some insects and ants were present in both the bedroom and bathroom * No air conditioning, and heating was not allowed, making nights quite cold * The room is poorly ventilated and felt damp * We requested a double bed, but it was two single beds pushed together with a noticeable gap
