Clean and comfy accommodation, run by a friendly and accommodating hostess, Sonia. A handy location to explore Amalfi, Ravello and surrounding areas. Easy access to Amalfi but a more local, traditional feel. Lovely local restaurants in Piazza Umberto, nearby.

Friendly small guest house in great location

For travellers who want to stay just outside the busy and bustling town of Amalfi this is a great place to stay. Sonia is a great host and very helpful. The breakfasts were served on the terrace and were very good with a great mountain range view. The rooms were spotlessly clean. There are about 50 manageable steps up to the accommodation. There is a small square with restaurants, bars and 2 small grocery shops and a fresh fish shop. There are also 2 small general shops selling souvenirs, ice creams etc. Me.Fra Camere is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach. I would suggest for ease and comfort travelling with hand luggage would be best. However it is easy to walk from the ferry and bus terminus in Amalfi to Atrani as there is a pedestrian tunnel linking the two. It is well lit and safe. Personally we preferred the laidback pace of Atrani to that of Amalfi so after a busy day of sightseeing it was lovely to return to the peace and quiet. For the more energetic travellers you can walk from Atrani up to Ravello. There are a significant number of stairs to climb but my husband and I both felt it was well worth the effort.

This was a great find. The room is spotless and private. Yes there are some stairs, but Amalfi is covered with them. If you feel the stairs could be a problem, just ask Sonia the host for help. She is a great host full of information and in as much contact as you want on WhatsApp. She makes a beautiful breakfast to get you going through the day and takes special requests. Our favourite thing was to grab a bottle of Prosecco at the local store and have it on the terrace with some prosciutto and cheese. Oh and the town of Altrani is about at 10 minute walk to Amalfi. Amalfi is nice to walk to but not the place to be when a cruise ship comes in. Highly recommended. Loved it.

Absolutely the best 8 night stay of our 2 week trip. Sonia, thank you for your kindness, delicious breakfast and all the help that you provided. We cannot thank you enough!

Sonia was a great host for our stay of 3 nights. Atrani is a beautiful quiet spot near Amalfi which is reachable by a short walk through a pedestrian tunnel. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend.

Many stairs but very interesting. Just had very hard beds so didn’t sleep well
