10.0We’re on a tour of the islands, so we get to compare and contrast the places we stay. This one - Faros Villa - is easily the best so far. It’s located next to a nature reserve with some of the most beautiful beaches in the country, all within relatively easy walking distance. It’s run by a family and they clearly care very much about the place: just about every detail, from sheets to lighting to decor to the beautiful gardens, everything seems cared for. Then there’s the food at the adjacent restaurant. We ate there all three nights and it was ALL delicious, most especially the homemade options (unless you’re a vegetarian, try the lamb and potatoes probably the tastiest thing I’ve tried yet). Anyway, don’t hesitate. Book the sea view rooms if you can: worth a little extra for the sunsets on the balcony.

10.0Nous avons séjourné (2 parents et 2 jeunes filles) dans une suite familiale (2 chambres et 2 salles de bain + salon + espace évier/frigo + terrasse privative, le tout sur 40 mètres carrés environ, avec vue sur mer Le ménage a été quotidien L’accueil a été charmant (Nikos, le propriétaire, est venu nous chercher au port de Chora, et nous y a ramenés pour le départ) Le personnel (accueil, piscine, ménage, restaurant attenant) est souriant, disponible et professionnel La piscine est immense et permet de se rafraîchir après une journée de visite (une serviette piscine est fournie en début de séjour à chaque résident) Le restaurant est excellent et à prix tout à fait convenable (Mama Irina y est toujours présente!) Petite attention pour notre départ: une fiole de kitron, liqueur locale à base de citron
