Personnel was very helpful and friendly and the omelette, the cheese selection and the tea served for breakfast in the Crystal Club Lounge were very good. That is about it...

− Having stayed at the hotel many times in the past and knowing how the hotel looked and what it offered, the setup now after renovation is more than disappointing. If we had known that we would have selected a different hotel since the accommodation price is not at all justified. The hotel used to have a great and representative entrance hall and foyer with a reception desk capable of handling more than one or two guest checking in at a time, a concierge and nice restaurant / breakfast area as well as a lounge area and a bar with live music in the evening, and not to forget a water feature at the and of the foyer which gave the hotel the "Grand" feeling. Now in 2026 - all of this is gone... Wem were greeted warmly (I have to admit) in a very small entrance foyer and and sent up to the 9th floor (as we Crystal Club access room reservations) for check in which took approx. 45 min to be completed since another guest was served first by the single employee doing check in at this lounge. Disappointing. The lounge is rather small and dark and at peak hours it can get very loud (depending on other guest shouting in their mobiles) - not the relaxing atmosphere that one would expect in a 5 star hotel. Food selection for afternoon tea and happy hour is acceptable, but compared to other hotel of similar price range there is room for improvement regarding variations. Breakfast is served either in the rather small and hectic restaurant section past the reception / bar area on the 3rd floor (dirty floor, see picture) or in the Crystal lounge on the 9th floor. The food selection is comparable in both localities, however the breakfast is nothing special. Rooms are rather dark, app functionality for A/C, lighting, etc. does not work properly. Lifts are emitting constant loud noises that can be heard in rooms near the lifts Gym is ridiculously small and crammed (almost no space behind equipment to pass if another guest is using it, see picture).
