Traditional Riad with good facilities and excellent staff

10.0

The riad is easy to find just inside the walls of the Medina, just knock on the door and you will be admitted. The staff are very friendly and will give good advice on where to visit and places to eat and can arrange trips out for you if you wish. Evening meals are available but they usually only cater for 8 residents, so book early if you want to eat in. It is a different set meal each night but accommodations are made for vegetarians. We found the meals very tasty and the service both personal and friendly. We also ate next door at the Terraces Des Artes which was excellent and very good value for the quality with a choice of traditional Moroccan fayre or international options. No TV or fridge in the room but who needs them. Wifi coverage was excellent. We booked via Jet2 as a package and paid a small premium for better rooms and were given one on the roof terrace which was ideal. The bathrooms are a bit idiosyncratic with a separate WC with a door and an open shower and wash basin all of which can be partitioned off from the bedroom by closing a curtain across the room. All in all we were very happy with the accommodation.

Calm among the chaos

10.0

My mum, my sister and I go away together every February and this time we choose Marrakech and Road Armelle. The riad is beautiful and our rooms were fantastic. We had two rooms on the roof terrace, which was a lovely bonus. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, showing true Moroccan hospitality. Yusuf was around during the day and Sisi in the evenings with her husband the chef and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the riad one evening and it was delicious. Breakfasts were lovely too. All the major sights were in walking distance and Yusuf married points of interest for us on a map. Marrakech is a crazy, noisy and chaotic city (in the best way) but the riad was an oasis of calm and tranquility to escape the melee. It was a fabulous experience from start to finish.

Christmas and New Year in Marrakech 2025

10.0

My husband and I stayed for two weeks here over Christmas and New Year and really enjoyed our stay. The Riad is in a great location, the staff are very helpful Sissy the Manageress couldn't do enough for you and treated you like family and her husband Ziad the chief made fantastic meals we never had the same three course meal all the time we were there, but you have to book as the ingredient's are bought daily for the number of people wanting a meal. Breakfast is served from 8-10 but don't get down after 8-30 as once the food was gone there was never any replacements. You can have fried eggs or an omelette there was plenty of choices for breakfast. I would say we had a lot of rain while we were here and the down side of this Riad is the rooms are cold... there is no heating, if you did get wet there is no where to hang wet clothes up to dry....there is a big open fire in the dinning room which is lit at 7, evening meals are served at 7-30 but its a leisurely affair as they are cooked while you wait. This Riad does sell alcohol .

Moroccan Charm

10.0

A wonderful first experience of Moroccan hospitality. The magic starts the moment the front door is opened and you step into a courtyard of tranquility. Our room was bright and ornately decorated with a bed that was absolute bliss. We also had our best meal in Marrakech at the Riad, so don't miss out on eating there. Nothing was too much trouble for Ziad and Sissi who were pretty much always on hand to help or advise. A bonus was it's location, about 150 metres from the Bab Doukala Square which made it very easy to find straight away. Another big plus is meeting fellow guests whom we found to be travellers rather than holidaymakers (if that makes sense.) All in all it was a fabulous short break.

BEAUTIFUL

10.0

Stayed in this beautiful traditional Moroccan Riad, Room 4, from the 10th - 15th November 2025. A very pleasant and clean room. The bed is Queen size and very comfortable with nice pillows. The lighting is traditional and the lamps are lovely. All the fixtures and fittings are authentic. The wardrobe is spacious enough for 5 days or more and houses the free safe. There is an ornate shelf by the bed with a large mirror and a bedside lamp. A marble dressing table and mirror. There is air con and free WiFi which cuts off intermittently but is excellent downstairs. The bathroom has a walk in shower, toiletries supplied and fixtures and fittings are authentic. The Courtyard is stunning with birds singing continuously. Breakfast is very nice and the evening meals original Moroccan dishes. The Riad is situated inside the Medina in a quiet lane. If you want a traditional and authentic Moroccan experience, this is the place to stay.
