10.0Lovely lodge in the desert with air conditioning.
Great value excursions to Sossousvlei
8.0We stayed in the sister lodge and arrived early, before check in time and decided to visit here. The reception staff were super and called to see if our room was ready. They gave us complimentary coffee and allowed us to sit outside and enjoy the environment. We then bought the cake of the day, and enjoyed it on the rooftop deck with the beautiful views. The next day we took their guided trip to Sossusvlei, which was good value for money compared to the prices for the excursion of nearby lodges. The guide was great. Vehicle good for viewing, but we do not recommend taking the extra breakfast option if you are not staying on a BNB rate. For the cost of 170pp we received fruit, yogurt, cereal, bread, and a platter of cold meet, cheese, cucumber and tomato. There was juice and coffee.... The table was beautifully laid out by our guide, which was special. But how about going to the trouble of making a muffin or even cutting the fruit into fruit salad?? Maybe a boiled egg??
Excellent for the rural location
8.0Very well-presented spacious huts overlooking the desert. Comfortable beds. Morning showers were lukewarm but seemed to be hot in the afternoon. The buffet was excellent, even for a vegetarian: fresh and varied with so many tasty dessert options, and a grill for morning eggs or dinner stir fry. They did not have non-dairy milk but the black coffee was fine. Internet was available near reception so guests would often access it at the nearby bar or pool area. These were well-placed for lovely sunset views over the desert. There was a nearby souvenir shop with hotel prices.
Peaceful oasis
10.0Loved this peaceful oasis, especially after hot and sandy days in the desert. Lovely dinner buffet, nice rooms and lovely sunset views.
